Pinboards are such handy things to have in your home!

A great spot for bills, reminders, photos, memorabilia and a whole lot more...lots of things are 'pinnable'.

BUT...we searched everywhere...high and low even for a pinboard with pizzazz.  We found lots of cork...lots of blah...boring boards.  There was nothing that would fit into the beautiful spaces that the design team creates.  The search was fruitless, so Cath came up with the idea of making one.  Most good ideas are borne from necessity....!

"I know!...lets make our own"...

The result?  A piece of art with functionality AND great looks (bit like George Clooney...)

Well, as these things go...one turned into two, turned into 10 as they started walking out the door.  More and more people started hearing about our boards, which is understandable because they are truly unique.

What makes our pinboards so special you might well ask?  Well, they are custom crafted by our workshop, with a gorgeous timber frame, sized to your specifications and then finished off with stunning fabrics.  You can choose a lush black velvet, or something with really interesting texture...perhaps a nice bright colour for a childs room.  The options are endless.  Super functional, use them in the kitchen (clear up that kitchen corner spot from bills and superfluous paper)...bedroom (amazing way to showcase your photos, hang jewellery, love notes and more)...and of course your study (keep motivated with images of holiday destinations, dreams, goals, spreadsheets, business cards, reminders.....and I could just go on and on....).

So, dont make your pinboard an eyesore...be-gone ye olde drabby cork board!

TENERIFFE APARTMENT - URBAN MAN CAVE

URBAN MAN CAVE

One of our absolute fave clients is moving!  But, not too far away thank goodness.

We loved collaborating with him on renovations to his urban apartment on the outskirts of the iconic Valley precinct of Brisbane, Teneriffe. 

This week, the apartment went up for sale and he kindly directed us to the real estate link (see below) for a gander at all his photos.

It was then that we realised what a hefty contribution Charcoal Interiors had made to its manifestation as a stylish urban man-space.  Warm, adhering to the original ambience and history of the iconic building in which it is housed and with such luxurious sophistication, the apartment is now just waiting for its new inhabitant.

In the meantime, we can show it off for him!

Kitchen and Dining areas.  The Kitchen was a real labour of love for the owner.  Stunning imported tiles adorn the splashback areas.  Balloon dining chairs in classic style have added to the eclectic mix, perfectly balanced.

Another angle of the kitchen.  Loving how they kept the existing rawness of the beams.

Imported Parisian wallpaper, feature mirror, balloon dining chairs are just a few of his little purchases from us.  The design team loved the creative process with him.  It's easy to collaborate with someone who has an ingrained sense of style from the beginning. :-)

This is a bedroom that I wouldn't want to leave.  The Antique doors feature as a bedhead (clever).  Masculine and stylish.

The imported wallpaper covering melds well with the original brickwork which thankfully the owner decided to keep.  This room oozes urban sophistication.

And no walk in robe is complete unless it has a chandelier??..right?  Love, love this room.
